TURKEY

After few very nice days at Kiten camping we start the bikes and ride to small town afterTurkey borderline called Kirklareli .Small problem with Pers bike,primary side littlebit noisy.We found small
motorcycle shop there .Very friendly people there,they help us to repair the bike and once in awhile
they bring us turkish tea when we working at the bike ,nice.When the bike was done we ride to Istanbul.That is a big city.They tell us around 17 million people living there.For us traffic was little bit too much, cars and trucks and motorcycle coming from everywhere passing you half meter a way from you.We ride local Harley shop and ask if they can change oil to our bikes and they say it is ok ,come here 10 o`clock next morning.We take hotel nearby the harley shop and ride back to shop next
morning .we wait 2 hours ,Nobody come ,shop was still closed.When we were  waitting there ,6 turkish
motorcycle police show up and come to us.Very friendly they shake our hands and look at bikes.
We tell them about our trip and they wish us good luck for the trip.In Turkey motorcycle police drive
like 2 men and one bike.We never seen it before back home.After Istanbul we ride small town called
Kursunlu.Just one night there.In the evening we meet young local boy who very interesting about our motorcycles.He had million questions about the bikes and touching bikes everywhere.We answering
him best we can ,he was speaking turkish and we english.Next generation biker for sure!
5 o`clock in the morning we wake up .Seremony starts at moskeya next to our hotel.They have loudspeakers outside so everybody can hear.After that small town we ride very hard 600km
to Erzincan.Roads was very good ,going between the mountains but side wind was really strong.
We got one email from Dr.Durre S. Ahmed from Pakistan ,she is working for Finland MFA and
tell us that situation between Iran and Pakistan boderline ,specially Pakistan side is very dangerous
and we should not risk our lives,so now we have decided that we are not going to Pakistan.
Here at Turkey when you go to gas station you can`t fill up tank yourself.They do it by themself and
give you receipt and then you go to pay it ,you have 2 more receipt one for yourself and one for
how fill up your gastank,you have to show it and then you can go.When you are in gas station or motorcycle workshop it is very common that they ask you to sit down and they bring you turkish tea for free!Some of these turkish roads at mountains are so steep at down hills that trucks must drive
20-30km/h! Down hills can be many km long.When we ride there 100km/h with our harleys ,we close the throttle and bikes were still running like nothing happends still same speed.Must be really carefully ,brakes can over heat easily.After Erzincan we ride Agri,small town maybe 150km from Iran boderline.Yesterday when we come here some couple have a wedding ,20 cars drive around the centrum and they throw MONEY out from the car,never seen happened before!Tomorrow we try to go to Iran ,this evening we meet one man Maurizio de Biaslo from Italy and he just come back from Iran ,he was there 3 weeks.He said that in Iran there is no internet connections so next up date will
be several weeks from now.Stay strong!Ana and Per

BULGARIA part 2

BLACKSEA

From Chelopech we ride to Burgas at black sea and meet our friends from BROTHERS OF THE WIND and JOKERS MC .Together we ride camping area at Kiten,black sea.Our friends have very nice caravan/summerhouse there and we built our tents behind them.We make one of our life time dream come true ,at black sea with our own motorcycles!They tell us that name of black sea come
from when it is storming the sea turns tottally black.In the evening after swimming we go to eat
to Bai G`s restaurant together with our friedns families.In the restaurant one copule come to eat with
us Georgi and Stella,they are going to get married next month .CONGRATULATIONS!
They are big fans of rockabilly music,Georgi knows Teddy and Tigers from Finland!COOL!
After eating very nice Bulgarian dinner we move to By the way bar for few drinks and after that we go to Barcheto bar and then beach bar Vesel Bar near our tents.Vesel bar I like alot.Rest of evening was history,don`t ask me!

BULGARIA

BULGARIA

From Nis Serbia we ride to Bulgaria.At boderline there was quite much traffic but we pass the line
and ride there in front .Takes maybe 20 minutes to go over.Not bad at all.From boder line we call our old frends from Bulgaria,Andrey and Dailis from Brothers of wind MC,Bulgaria says that they are waiting for us at ROUTE 80 MOTEL 36 km from boderline way to Sofia.That was incredible place ,really biker bar/motel,if you ever are there ,check it out.We recommend.When we show up there and meet our friends ,we sit down and eat little bit.I was drinking Airan joqurt mixed with water (half and half),you can also put little salt on that drink if you like .In hot day like that it is  very freshing.Sounds maybe strainge but these people know what they are talking about.It was good ,I drink maybe 4 glasses.After that we start our bikes and ride with Andrey to Sofia,stop there for awhile and I really supprised because there was no traffic at all.That was saturday.Andrey tell me that summer time in Sofia at weekends everybody go out  to campping or summerhouses.
After Sofia we ride to Chelopech maybe 130 km from Sofia.We ride those small serpentine roads throu area called Stara Planina(old mountains).
Very nice ride.At Chelopech there was biker rally
organized by ATROX MC.

.Really good times .There was Serbian chef who was making food that was good too.We also meet few people from company called NOMAD CUSTOM.Check it out .They built nice bikes and they have very good saddle maker.

SLOVAKIA,HUNGARY,SERBIA

SLOVAKIA

After Lublin,Poland we ride to small town in Slovakia called Vranov nad Taplòun.We take only hotel they got and room with air condition.It starts to be hot here ,around 35C.In our room when we put air condition max. it was still 31C hot.It helps alot.Next morning we start to ride to Hungary and on our way we see road sign HELL,wondering what kind of place is that.

HUNGARY

We just ride throu Hungary one day using big roads .They were really good condition ,boaring to ride but fast.Before Serbia boder line we stop at gasstation  and meet one man from Albania .He gave us wery good tip about boder crossing.He say that don`t take the main cross over point,take small one called Tompa it is only 30 km further.He said that main cross over point ,it can take 4 to 5 hours to go over because so many people.We ride to Tompa and he was right there was nobody.For us it take 5 minutes go to Serbia.When custom man said you can can go now ,we try to start our bikes and Pers bike did´ say anything.Perfect timing bike broke down middle at Serbian custom,cool.

We push start the bike and ride to Belgrad.

SERBIA

In Belgrad Serbia we find finally hotel with really good air condition.Feels like in paradise.Next morning we call one man who is working at local harley shop and he help us to repair Pers motorcycle.We need help because of some parts of startmotor needed to be  machined.After very hot day at hotel parking place everything was ok and we hit the road again.We arrive a place called Nis 

at south serbia and spend one night there.Next morning we wake up and go to breakfast i see that tomatoes are more red and sweet here than back home.There was also pear tree outside of our balcony.Start to look like we are in south now.

Kaunas,Liethuania to Lublin Poland

From Riga,Latvia we ride to Kaunas ,Liethuania .Nice ride with Martins and his friend.
Later that evening we go to eat some traditional Liethuanian food what they call zeppelins.
That is like minced meat covered with shmashed potatoes and deep fried in oil.Very good.
Next morning we were visiting war museum and then we ride to Lublin,Poland.
In Lublin many years ago we first time meet members of Roadrunners mc.Since that it has always nice to see them.This time Radeck shows up with his old russian M72 (copy of BMW).Really cool bike.He tell us that even nowadays it is easy to find spareparts for this bike because they make same ones in China!

BALTIC COUNTRIES

From Pärnu,Estonia we ride to Saulkrasti,Latvia .There was VBO Mc traditional autum party.Many friends from scandinavian and baltic countries shows up and wish us good luck for the trip.Thanks friends, we already miss you.

After VBO MC party we ride to Riga and take room from TWO WHEELS HOTEL.
That hotel is small very nice place for bikers .Check it out if you are in Riga.Owner of
hotel ,our long time friend Martins Sils has ride around the world several times with motorcycle.
We have small drem that we can ride some miles together with him and his friend at south america.

START THE TRIP

HELSINKI,FINLAND to PÄRNU,ESTONIA

We start our trip very rainy morning 6th of august.We ride just few kilometers from my home to
Tallink Silja terminal and we take ferry Tallinn,Estonia.It takes only two hours to go to Tallinn from
Helsinki.When ferry arrived to Tallinn wheather start to be much better ,no more heavy raining.
From Tallinn we ride to Pärnu.Nice small summertown at seaside,only 160 km from Tallinn.
We spend one night at Alexsander pub/hotel .That is a biker hotel ,what we can recommend.
Reasonable prices and very good food.
